About me
GCSE and A level English literature GCSE History Hello, I’m Eliza and I am originally from Oxfordshire! I am passionate about everything English, whether it be English literature or English language teaching! Within my teaching role I hope to share my passion to help students become more confident with their own ability. My previous experience as teacher includes working within an international IT company. As part of the role, I was fortunate enough to communicate and have lessons with people from across the world in places like Argentina, Japan and Italy. The teaching ran as a support base for employees within the company, a chance for them to talk to someone outside of the business about any language or confidence barriers that they believed stood in their way. This role wasn’t just a learning curve for my students but for myself as well as I became a teacher and role model to them. As well as English I am also very passionate about sports, taking part in a series of sports such as Hockey, Netball, squash, skiing and tennis. Despite playing various sports, my true passion lies with Hockey due to being apart of such a supportive and hardworking University team! Art and music are also important to me and I love to paint and go to gigs in my free time.
