I have 11 GCSEs ranging from grades 7 - 9, with 9 in biology and 8 in chemistry. I went on to study biology, chemistry, maths and French for A-Levels, receiving an A* in biology and A in chemistry. Throughout my school education I participated in various research studies including possible methodologies in testing malaria in impovrished areas, the impact of hydrocarbon length in ionic liquids ability to function as a battery and I have worked in multiple laboratories on a variety of protocols. I am now a student at the University of Bath, studying an integrated masters in biochemistry.
About me
I am a second year biochemistry student at the University of Bath and am planning to specialise in AMR and work in medicinal design research. I studied biology and chemistry at school. I am fascinated about my subject, and believe it is very important in understanding and working out a variety simple to complex situations. I am well versed in the English exam system, and can teach biology specific to the GCSE and A-Level exam board specifications, as well as generally to all levels. I greatly believe in explaining concepts themselves to my students and followed by concept application on problems. I can help with improving confidence and understanding of the subject as well as how to answer exam questions to get all the marks. I also have experience applying to UK universities and am happy to help and guide students through this process, including the personal statement section. I hope to inspire my students to continue with biology and related fields, and help them gain a passion and true appreciation for this subject. Outside of all things biology and biochemistry I enjoy participating in extreme sports such as skiing and kayaking and spending my time in the great outdoors :)
