Being one of the only students to have completed the GCSE with the new specification, I understand their challenges. Evidently, the new exams call for more problem solving and decision making questions. Hence, I have been able to learn easier, more straight forward methods to tackle these new questions with logic and ease. Several new topics have been introduced into the exams that I am able to focus on in depth. Achieving a grade 9 allows me to share all my tips and tricks with my students. - GRADE 9(A**) in MATHS - GRADE 9(A**) in CHEMISTRY - Studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Economics at A levels - Currently studying Economics, Statistics and Mathematics at Queen Mary University, a russell group.
About me
I have EXPERIENCE tutoring GCSE students in both Woodford County High School and Sarah Bonnell Secondary School as well as privately tutoring. I'm aware of different schools having varying exam boards and topics. This helps me cater to students from different schools. Teaching musical theatre to children (Year 7 - Year 11) also means I can communicate well to help each individual understand. Working with over 50 students highlights the importance of patience and perseverance. It is important for me to focus on all of my students individually to focus on their concerns. All students learn best in different ways! As well as going through the specification and content in an orderly manner, I welcome students to bring in any challenging homework or topics to work harder on those. I am a very engaging teacher who can understand a student’s strengths and weakness and alter my teaching according to their needs. It is important for my students to EXCEL in their grades in the exam as well as to enjoy the subjects, possibly wanting them to pursue it in future. I believe every child can achieve and surpass their expectations. I hope to aid them through this difficult GCSE journey, ensure every student leaves lesson filled with knowledge and ready to eventually complete their exam CONFIDENTLY. It is key for the students to feel as though their hard work has been worth it!
